Olubusayo
Lilithalethu Ilori.
A dedicated health advocate passionate about dismantling health inequalities and ensuring universal access to high-quality healthcare.
A Journey Rooted in Advocacy.
Lilitha’s advocacy journey began while she was at university, where she became aware of significant gaps in health knowledge among young women, and how these gaps shape health decisions and outcomes.
Born and raised in South Africa and currently based in the UK, Lilitha’s work is grounded in addressing health inequalities across the Global South and under-served communities in the UK. Her approach is shaped by a strong belief that effective health interventions must be informed by adequate monitoring and evaluation systems, effective data collection, access to health education, and access to quality care.
"Lilitha holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex, with a specialisation in Health and Development."
With a research background in nutrition and a particular focus on the first 1,000 days of life, her work engages with women’s reproductive health through an intersectional lens, including critical advocacy around high rates of HPV and cervical cancer.
Building for Health Equity.
Through Ilori Foundation, Lilitha aims to build sustainable, data-driven programmes that strengthen maternal nutrition, support healthy early childhood development, and advance women’s reproductive health outcomes.
